Job summary

emagine Polska seeks a PostgreSQL Engineer (Expert Level) in Kraków for a full-time hybrid role. You will lead replication strategies, performance tuning, and DevOps automation to support banking applications. English is the project language; start ASAP with a B2B assignment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement HA/DR solutions, and work with Google Cloud and other cloud platforms.

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration and replication experience.
Strong WAL archiving, streaming replication, and logical decoding expertise.
Experience automating DB tasks with Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting.
Familiarity with Google Cloud and other cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL replication for high availability and DR.
Optimize performance, tuning, and query optimization.
Automate deployment and management with Ansible and Jenkins; implement scripting (Bash/Python).
Develop and maintain backup, restore, and failover strategies.
Collaborate with development and infra teams to ensure scalability and reliability.
Monitor DB health, security, and replication issues.
Apply HA/DR best practices across environments.
Work with Google Cloud (Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, GKE, IAM, networking).
