Job summary

Thomson Reuters Polska Sp. z o.o. seeks a Lead Data Governance & Quality Analyst to own governance across service and operational data, drive data quality standards, and partner with engineering to implement controls.

You will define CDEs, create DQ scorecards, lead governance forums, and collaborate with ITSM, SRE, and analytics teams. The role supports privacy, security classifications, and a data catalog-driven future in a hybrid Poland-based environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data governance, data quality, analytics, or related data management roles; lead capacity preferred.
• Demonstrated experience defining and implementing data quality controls and partnering with teams to operationalize them.
• Strong knowledge of data governance concepts: ownership/stewardship, CDEs, metadata, lineage, data lifecycle, and controls.
• Advanced SQL skills: querying relational warehouses/lakes and handling JSON/log-like data.
• Working knowledge of data pipelines and failure modes; partner with data engineering.
• Experience cross-functional with Service Management, Engineering, Architecture, Product, Compliance, Security.
• Strong documentation, facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on: profiling data, writing SQL checks, documenting definitions, running sessions.
• Nice-to-Have: knowledge of DAMA/DMBOK.
• Experience with catalog/governance tools like Alation or similar.
• Experience with workflow tools (ADO, ServiceNow) and ServiceNow data model.
• Experience defining metrics for service reliability and SLA attainment.
• Understanding privacy/security practices, data retention, and access governance.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or BI environments where data trust is critical.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance for Service & Operational data domains; ensure definitions and ownership.
• Develop and maintain data quality standards, profiling, rules, and automated monitoring.
• Define data product contracts (schema, definitions, SLAs/SLOs) and partner with engineering for controls.
• Collaborate with Data Owners to define CDEs, glossaries, and telemetry mappings.
• Create DQ scorecards and report on KPIs; run governance reviews with owners.
• Run ITSM-style data issue management: intake, triage, RCA, remediation tracking, post-fix validation.
• Support metadata management: lineage, classifications, retention, and catalog usage.
• Ensure privacy and security classifications and audit-ready documentation.
• Influence upstream processes to prevent defects and ensure consistency.
• Contribute to governance operating model, playbooks, and training.
• Facilitate governance forums and decision logs; maintain backlog transparency.
• Partner with Service Management, SRE/Observability, Engineering, Data & Analytics teams.
