Job summary

Interact Software is seeking a hands-on security engineer to design, build, and automate security capabilities for our platform. You will own tooling and detection end-to-end, moving Splunk estate and cloud controls to a codified, tested, and measurable security program.

You will work in a security-focused role, avoiding dashboards-only work, and contribute to incident response, risk assessments, and security architecture across services.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security roles with networking, security tech, and risk management knowledge.
• Experience with security incident response and mitigating security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity strategies to protect assets against cyber threats.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify gaps and mitigate risks.
• Contribute to security architecture including firewalls, IDS, and encryption to safeguard networks and data.
• Monitor security infrastructure for suspicious activity, investigate incidents, and implement response procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to enhance security posture.
• Participate in security audits, compliance assessments, and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain documentation of security processes and incident response plans.
• Identify opportunities for automation to optimize security operations.
