Graduate Visual UI Designer – Canonical

The role of a Visual UI Designer at Canonical is part of a design team on a mission to turn complex, open‑source software into intuitive products. We are looking for an exceptional Visual UI Designer who shares our passion for design thinking, technology and innovation, and who can bring the Ubuntu and Canonical brands to life across events, offices, digital and social assets. As a multi‑disciplined designer you will deliver exceptionally crafted and creative work in response to the business design needs.

This role sits in the design team reporting to the design manager – brand & marketing.

Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.

What your day will look like: You will work in a multi‑disciplinary environment with visual designers, UX designers, front‑end and back‑end engineers to bring exciting web projects to life. You’ll help the larger Ubuntu community by creating clear, stylish presentation that aids the user experience of our products, using your knowledge of typography, colour and layout, with a strong focus on usability, accessibility and web standards.
