Job summary

ABB is seeking a UX Designer Intern to join our Common UX team in Krakow. You will help design and evolve our corporate design system and participate in real-world, international projects.

You will create prototypes in Figma, contribute to design documentation, and collaborate with designers from multiple countries. This internship offers hands-on experience, portfolio development, and exposure to AI-driven design approaches.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Figma and confidence with digital design tools.
• Interest in UX design, design systems, and scalable design practices.
• Ability to structure information clearly in design documentation.
• Curiosity about AI and its potential applications in design.
• Good English communication skills for daily use.
• Willingness to learn, experiment, ask questions, and take ownership of tasks.
• Collaborative mindset and interest in working with an international team.

Responsibilities

• Support UX activities across corporate and international projects.
• Create and maintain designs and prototypes in Figma.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of our design system.
• Help prepare and maintain UX and design documentation.
• Support designers with research, ideation, visualization, and other day-to-day UX tasks.
• Explore and experiment with AI tools and emerging approaches in UX design.
• Collaborate with designers and colleagues from different countries and disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and team discussions.
