The Global Procurement Director, Capital Equipment provides strategic leadership for procurement across GSK’s global Capital Equipment portfolio. The role holds accountability for more than £500m in annual external spend worldwide, driving value, efficiency and consistent standards across the enterprise.
This role partners closely with senior stakeholders across the enterprise to translate diverse business needs into forward‑looking procurement strategies that deliver measurable value and foster innovation, while ensuring continuity of supply and services, effective risk mitigation and the achievement of sustainability objectives.
As a core member of the Capital, Engineering & EHS Procurement Leadership Team, the Director leads a high‑performing team of c.7 colleagues across multiple geographies, fostering excellence, capability development and cohesive ways of working.
Lead and manage a global Capital Equipment procurement organization, with accountability for critical categories including Filling, Packing End of Line, Automation Technology and Services, Sustainable equipment, Robots, Primary Equipment, Sterilization and washing equipment, Oral Solid Dose and inspection machines, supporting the delivery of complex Capital projects and managing annual external spend exceeding £500m.
Define and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies across these categories, ensuring strong alignment with business priorities and driving optimized value delivery across the enterprise.
Partner closely with Business stakeholders’ teams to develop and implement tailored procurement and strategies for strategic Capital projects, maximizing value from strategic supplier partnerships.
Foster effective, cross‑functional ways of working across Supply Chain and GSK sites to ensure the delivery of integrated and cohesive Capital Equipment strategies.
Ensure alignment between global strategies and local business needs by establishing robust communication platforms that enhance transparency, engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
Build and sustain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, including global & site teams, to position Procurement as a trusted partner across all Capital Equipment categories.
Engage with leadership to develop tailored procurement solutions, identify and lead value‑creation opportunities and influence strategic decision‑making to drive Procurement's role in achieving organizational goals.
Deliver measurable benefits globally and regionally through effective strategy execution aligned with assurance of supply, service excellence, cost savings, innovation and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure clear demonstration of value for money for all Capital Equipment procurement strategies and sourcing decisions, in close partnership with stakeholders, leveraging robust commercial models, benchmarking and total cost of ownership approaches.
Embed the Ambitious Partnerships programme and drive end‑to‑end supplier relationship and performance management across the Capital Equipment supply base, leveraging financial and non‑financial metrics to deliver continuous improvement and sustained value.
Strengthen and optimise the Capital Equipment supply base by leading structured supply base reviews, developing strategic supplier capabilities and building senior‑level relationships to align on long‑term objectives, unlock value, mitigate risk and integrate regional requirements into global negotiations.
Lead complex negotiations and deliver high‑quality, compliant agreements for Capital Equipment, shaping commercial frameworks that optimises risk allocation, maximises long‑term value, and enable predictable, efficient delivery of Capital projects.
Drive robust contract management practices to ensure strict adherence to contractual commitments, proactively identify risks and deviations and implement timely corrective actions.
Drive the integration of AI‑enabled solutions and digital transformation processes to improve Procurement’s efficiency and delivery across Capital Equipment.
Partner with stakeholders and supply partners to develop tools and methodologies that optimise business workflows while reducing costs and mitigating risks.
Lead and develop a high‑performing global Procurement team, building both technical expertise and leadership capabilities across enterprise‑wide spend categories.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance culture, encouraging openness, constructive challenge and cohesive ways of working, supported by multi‑year talent development and robust succession planning aligned with global and regional priorities.
This role offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of on‑site and remote work. Remote or fully home‑working arrangements are not available for this role.

The annual gross base salary range for new hires in this position is listed above for each applicable location.
