Job summary

Alstom in Chorzów is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial operations, ensure accuracy and compliance, and support global accounting processes.

You will oversee month-end close, AP/AR, tax calculations, VAT reporting, and liaise with auditors across a multi-entity environment. Strong IFRS knowledge and SAP experience are essential. Polish and English fluency required.

This role offers a full-time contract and opportunities to develop within a multinational mobility leader.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong expertise in accounting, taxes, and statutory financial statement preparation under IFRS.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Accuracy, responsibility, and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Independence and effective time management in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Coordinating Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Driving process improvements and standardization across reporting and accounting processes.
• Preparing CIT and DTA/DTL calculations.
• Supporting data preparation for VAT reporting.
• Preparing statutory balance sheets and participating in annual financial statements.
• Collaborating with auditors.
• Supporting tax reports and tax budgeting activities.
• Ensuring compliance in a multi-entity, international environment.
