Siemens Energy, Inc. seeks a GIS commissioning specialist to lead installation and testing of Gas Insulated Switchgear across international projects.

The role involves extensive travel (80-90%) and close collaboration with global project teams, contributing to our electrification initiatives while prioritizing safety and compliance. You will engage in pre-commissioning, functional testing, and reporting, with English fluency and a proactive, hands-on approach essential to success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on engineering approach.
• Willingness to travel extensively (80-90% abroad).
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness for professional growth.

Responsabilités

• Conduct commissioning activities for Gas Insulated Switchgear systems, ensuring installation and operation per design specs and standards.
• Perform pre-commissioning inspections and tests to verify integrity and compliance, and execute functional and performance testing of GIS equipment with documented results.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and safe project execution, contributing to electrification while maintaining safety standards.
• Provide technical support and training to local teams and clients, enabling GIS operation and maintenance.
• Document findings, prepare commissioning reports, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Adapt to varying working conditions and cultures while maintaining a positive attitude and safety focus.
