Straumann Group is seeking an experienced S/4HANA and BTP Technical Architect to drive compliant, scalable SAP solutions. The role requires leadership on governance, standards, and upgrade strategies across global teams.

Based in Madrid or Wroclaw with a hybrid model and 2 remote days per week, the candidate will collaborate with Solution Architects, QA, and IT teams to deliver high-quality SAP platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP S/4 and BTP development.
• 2+ years as Technical Architect in BTP area.
• Familiar with GxP validation and CSV in regulated industries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and governance of SAP BTP and S/4HANA solutions.
• Enforce development standards and upgrades aligned with BTP and S/4HANA.
• Define guidelines for AI platform usage in BTP (Joule Studio).
• Collaborate on extensibility with CAP and Side-by-Side architecture.
• Ensure compliance through CSV and documentation traces.

Job description

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced S/4 & BTP Technical Architect to drive the development and delivery of compliant, scalable, and upgrade-safe SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, Clean Core architecture, setup of BTP Build with a strong understanding of GxP validation requirements and regulated development practices. As part of our digital transformation journey and business growth strategy, you will play a key role in contributing to major initiatives across the organization. You will report to the Head of Global Business Applications Processes, Toolchain, and Delivery.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, implement and own the Technical Architecture including governance of BTP, define standards of custom solutions in S/4HANA, adhering to Clean Core principles and minimizing in-app customizations using ABAP (OO, classical), CDS, Fiori, OData services.
• Enforce SAP development standards, best practices aligned with BTP and future S/4HANA upgrades.
• Define standard and guidelines for usage of AI platform in BTP like Joule Studio
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to define SAP extensibility strategy using SAP BTP, CAP, and Side-by-Side architecture.
• Design solutions compatible with RISE with SAP architecture, including multi-tenant environments and cloud restrictions.
• Support the Integration strategy as middleware platform like Integration Suite
• Ensure that all custom developments and enhancements meet GxP compliance requirements, including documentation, validation, traceability, and audit readiness.
• Partner with Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to align technical deliverables with CSV (Computer System Validation) expectations.
• Manage Developers from Partners enabling performing code reviews, providing mentorship, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with global GBA functional teams and regional teams to define architecture and deliver solutions in collaboration with external partners.
• Work closely with Basis, Security, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment using tools like gCTS, abapGit, and Jenkins.

Requirements Needed

Education

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field and/or related working experience.

Experience & Personal Attributes

• 5+ years of experience in SAP S/4 and BTP development, with at least 2 years as Technical Architect in area of BTP
• Strong hands-on experience with BTP Build Platform and its service, understanding of ABAP, Adobe Forms, CDS Views, OData, ABAP RAP, Fiori Elements, SAP AIF for interface design and operational supportPractical knowledge of S/4HANA, BTP Build, SAP Solution Manager, CALM, and RISE with SAP architecture.
• Understanding GxP regulations, CSV, and documentation best practices in regulated industries.
• Significant experience in ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization.
• Capacity to face and adapt to challenges to overcome them (resilience)
• Fluent English spoken and written, other languages are an asset (DE)

Please note that this role is based in Madrid/Wroclaw and its hybrid working model with 2 remote working days/week.
