Job description

We are looking for a General Ledger Team Leader to oversee GL, Tax, Inventory, Fixed Assets and Treasury activities within our new SSC in Poland.

This role includes managing a team of 10-12 specialists, ensuring accurate reporting, strong compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and supporting the organization through a transition period focused on building consistent processes.

This is a key leadership position where you will help strengthen financial controls, stabilize operations and contribute to shaping a best-in-class finance function.

  • Location: Katowice, hybrid working model (1 day remotely per week)
  • Type of employment: long-term contract of employment
Responsibilities
  • Supervise all aspects of General Ledger accounting, including accruals, provisions, allocations and reconciliations
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing processes across assigned entities
  • Approve journal entries, review reconciliations and monitor the accuracy of financial records
  • Oversee tax postings and VAT accounting activities
  • Manage inventory valuation procedures and ensure accurate stock reconciliations
  • Lead the administration of fixed assets, including register maintenance, depreciation and compliance with tagging policies
  • Support treasury activities and maintain effective control over banking operations
  • Contribute to process harmonization and continuous improvement initiatives within the SSC
Qualifications
  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • At least 5+ years of professional background in GL
  • Experience leading and developing a finance team (3+ years of experience)
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP standards
  • Hands-on experience with SAP tool
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English
