Job summary

A multinational tech company in Poland is seeking a GCP Platform Engineer to build and maintain a data analytics platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work with cutting-edge technologies, focusing on infrastructure as code and supporting platform reliability. Ideal candidates have a strong background in GCP, experience with programming, and a collaborative mindset. Fluency in English at a B2 level is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Terraform with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills through clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Building a platform and supporting its tenants.
• Maintaining data analytics platform components.
• Architecture development and experimentation.
• Providing on-call support for platform reliability.
• Preparing cloud-ready and IaC-based solutions.
• Managing monitoring and alerting for the platform.

Skills

Infrastructure as Code mindset

• have an Infrastructure as Code mindset (Our tech stack: Terraform with Azure DevOps pipelines),
• have experience with public cloud (preferably GCP) and building platforms on top of it,
• are experienced with managed GCP services (e.g., GKE, GCS, BQ, Dataproc),
• demonstrate skills in programming (Python & Go preferred),
• have hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting,
• possess knowledge in secure authentication and encrypted workloads (OIDC, KMS, client/server SSL/TLS, etc.),
• can clearly express ideas, facts, and opinions. Experience in elaborating complex ideas as part of design documentation makes you great at collaboration.

English level - B2

You'll get extra points for:

• distributed cloud computing and storage on GCP,
• ability to optimize code and infrastructure,
• an automation mindset.

As a GCP Platform Engineer, you will be part of a multinational team building ING’s next-generation Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to design, deploy, and maintain scalable data infrastructure, enabling data scientists and analysts across ING to deliver high-impact solutions.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
