Job summary

Cloudfide is a remote-first company delivering cloud-native data platforms for global clients. We seek a fullstack engineer proficient in Java/Spring Boot and React/Next.js to own features end-to-end, shape architecture, and collaborate across international teams.

You will work with modern data architectures, leverage AI tools, and contribute to scalable, production-ready solutions across the stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a fullstack engineer with depth on backend and frontend.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js.
• Solid database and SQL skills across structured/unstructured data.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
• Pragmatic problem-solving and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent English for international collaboration.

Opportunity overview

This is a genuine full-stack role on a project where both sides of the stack matter equally. You'll have direct ownership over features end-to-end, work closely with the client, and help shape a platform that sits at the intersection of data engineering and user experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Building and evolving scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot, including REST APIs, business logic, and integrations.

• Developing modern, responsive frontend interfaces with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.

• Taking full end-to-end ownership of features - from backend data modeling through to UI delivery - without requiring handoffs.

• Designing and working with databases handling both structured and unstructured asset data, writing solid, optimized SQL.

• Managing deployments and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure cloud services.

• Making pragmatic build-vs-reuse decisions - knowing when a custom solution adds value and when it doesn't.

• Collaborating clearly with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders, translating between business needs and engineering solutions.

• Contributing to code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement of the codebase.

• Leveraging AI tools in day-to-day work to enhance productivity and output quality.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a fullstack engineer with real depth on both backend and frontend - not a specialization in one with tolerance for the other.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot - non-negotiable.

• Strong proficiency in React and modern frontend patterns (Next.js experience a strong plus).

• Solid database and SQL skills across both structured and unstructured data models.

• Hands‑on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and cloud-native deployment practices.

• Pragmatic problem‑solving mindset - able to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver without excessive hand‑holding.

• Clear communicator across technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Fluent English, able to collaborate effectively in an international environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tailwind CSS.

• Familiarity with asset management, DAM systems, or platforms handling large volumes of mixed-type files.

• Experience working with unstructured or semi-structured data at scale.

• Knowledge of web application security best practices.

• Azure DevOps familiarity.
