Job summary

esurance AG is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a modern microservices environment. You will build scalable backend services with ASP.NET Web API and create intuitive frontends in React and TypeScript.

This hands-on role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with product teams, and high-quality code with AI-assisted SDLC support. You will work in a cloud-native setup with a 70/30 split favoring frontend development while contributing to backend design and architecture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in CS or equivalent
• At least 5 years building solid front-end apps with React (non-negotiable)
• At least 2 years building secure REST APIs using ASP.NET
• Knowledge of modern web architectures with microservices and cloud patterns
• Demonstrated high technical ownership is required for this role

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain modern React micro frontend applications
• Deliver full-stack features using ASP.NET and React/TypeScript with infrastructure
• Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements and ensure business context
• Ensure features meet Definition of Done with top-tier unit/integration/end-to-end tests
• Support incident response and production issue resolution per team standards

Essential Qualifications:

• MSc+ in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5 years of proven experience in building solid front-end applications with React is a non-negotiable must have.
• At least 2 years of experience in building secure REST APIs using ASP .NET
• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary web application architectures, with a focus on microservices and cloud design patterns.
• Demonstrated ability of high technical Ownership is requirement for this role.

Bonus Skills:

• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams using Agile practices and following Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
