Job summary

Kingfisher is hiring a Software Engineer (React) for our Web Platform team in Kraków. This hybrid role requires collaboration across frontend apps, cloud services, and tooling to deliver reliable, scalable frontend solutions.

You will design, implement, test, and maintain frontend features using TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with React.js and Remix exposure. The position emphasizes modern development practices, code quality and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Frontend applications using TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with React.js, Remix or similar.
• Understanding of web app architecture and microfrontend concepts.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Automated testing with Playwright, Jest or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git and modern dev practices.
• AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality frontend solutions, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
• Contribute to technical discussions and decisions within the team, following established architectural principles, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Support platform and enablement initiatives aimed at improving developer experience, engineering efficiency, and the effective use of shared tools and services.
• Collaborate with more experienced engineers on architecture, cloud, and infrastructure topics to ensure frontend solutions integrate effectively with the wider technology ecosystem.
• Work closely with backend engineers, product partners, and designers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of frontend architecture and explore modern technologies and development practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following established testing, code review, and release processes.
• Identify and suggest improvements to development workflows, tooling, and overall product quality.
• Actively participate in knowledge-sharing activities, collaborate with team members, and continuously develop technical skills.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on progress, potential challenges, and technical considerations.
