Job summary

Qualifications

Job description
The Role

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (FP&A Analyst) you will work within FP&A team of Imperial Brands’ Centre of Capability (CoC), supporting Global Service Center (GSC) Operations and Factory Controlling, reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager of the respective area (strong cooperation and dotted line reporting to Head of Finance Operations). This is a high-profile role and you will be responsible for the creation / production of timely and accurate financial data (plans, forecasts, latest estimates, monthly reports etc.) and initial variance analysis & support across the factory network. As a FP&A Analyst you will join an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.

Principle Accountabilities
  • Support the Head of Operations by preparing reporting and analysis for the GSC Operations (CAPEX, Working Capital, P&L, write-offs, provisions, idle equipment)
  • Be responsible of ongoing monthly reporting on the factory results and variances, financial forecasts for the current financial and plan years to meet the requirements and deadlines
  • Provide extended insights & commentary of movements between actuals, forecasts, latest estimates and last year, with supporting variance analysis of various financial impacts.
  • Be responsible for preparing monthly reporting with first pass narrative
  • Act as a representative of FP&A during Business Reviews, Financial Town Halls, Service Management meetings
  • Work collaboratively with the other CoC FP&A team members to ensure cross market learning, communication and continuous process improvement to automate & enhance reporting capability (both technology and process improvements).
Skills and Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain
  • Professional experience in Controlling/Manufacturing or FP&A preferably in a manufacturing environment or FMCG
  • Fluent in English (oral & written)
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially in excel. Business Intelligence experience (Power BI or VBA or Python or Power Query) and understanding of technical capabilities
  • Be a pro‑active & effective member of the CoC FP&A team with a strong “can‑do” attitude
  • Be results oriented with excellent communication skills. Be flexible and prepared to challenge in a constructive manner
