A growing financial services company seeks a Financial Accountant in Kraków who will support reporting and analysis for local Portfolio Companies. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Finance, 3-5 years of experience in GL accounting, and strong analytical skills. Fluent Polish and English are required, alongside proficiency in financial analysis tools and advanced MS Excel.

We are currently seeking, for our RTR team, Financial Accountant, who will support our Portfolio Companies, in day-to-day reporting and analyses activities, both from a group as well as a statutory and tax perspective.
This role will not only be critical for making sure all accounting and reporting and tax activities are performed on time and of high quality as well as for the creation of good cooperation between the Everfield Finance Center (EFC) and the Portfolio Company.
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Perform variance analysis to identify and investigate deviations from budgeted or forecasted financial performance, highlighting key drivers and trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts and financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess business performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide insights to management.
Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments to support pricing decisions, cost‑saving initiatives and resource allocation strategies.
Assist in the preparation of financial models, business cases and investment appraisals for new projects and initiatives.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles and regulations.
Participate in the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including accruals, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Proven experience as GL accountant or Reporting Specialist (3‑5 years)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, IFRS and management accounting techniques
Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, as well as advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information to non‑financial stakeholders effectively
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think strategically
Fluent Polish and English
