Job summary

IG Group in Kraków is seeking a Finance Systems Manager to lead the Finance Systems & Change team. You will own the system landscape, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with Finance and Operations to deliver a modern, reliable finance tech stack.

You will combine hands-on technical delivery with people leadership, guiding vendors and driving transformation across the estate while supporting month-end processes and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' hands-on experience with financial systems, including at least 3 years leading teams.
• Strong SQL and system integration and configuration skills.
• Working manager who contributes to technical delivery and problem resolution.
• Deep operational knowledge of finance processes across a systems estate.
• Project coordination for system implementations with cross-functional teams.
• Experience during month-end and year-end closes in a fast-paced environment.
• University degree in Finance, Business, Technology or a related field.

You will develop a technical team, own key vendor relationships, and safeguard the financial controls and regulatory compliance that underpin IG's operations, while modernising the systems that support future growth.## ## About the teamThis role sits within the Finance Systems & Change team, part of IG's global Finance function. The team owns IG's finance technology landscape: maintaining business-as-usual operations across all finance systems, delivering enhancements and new solutions, and driving the digitisation of the finance function. As IG pursues a more efficient and scalable operating model, the team is central to IG's finance transformation — modernising platforms, improving data quality, and enabling finance to deliver faster, more reliable insight to the business.This role leads the Systems team within Finance Systems & Change, managing the specialists and analysts who keep IG's critical financial infrastructure running — including the Treasury & Reconciliation and Consolidation & Reporting support analysts. It reports to the Head of Finance Systems & Change and is a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with direct technical delivery.## ## Key responsibilities* Lead and develop the Finance Systems team — setting objectives, managing performance, building capability through mentoring and training, and owning recruitment and succession planning.* Own and execute the strategic roadmap for finance systems, aligning platform capability with business priorities and prioritising investment.* Oversee day-to-day operations across the finance systems estate as a hands-on manager, ensuring SLAs and system availability are maintained and personally resolving complex issues.* Safeguard the financial controls and regulatory compliance that underpin IG's operations, ensuring audit readiness at all times.* Own key vendor relationships, leading technical discussions and system upgrades, and build strong partnerships with Finance and Operations leadership.* Drive transformation across the estate — including automation and process-optimisation opportunities — while maintaining deep technical involvement in system configuration and performance tuning.* Support project delivery by coordinating resources and timelines for system implementations, partnering with project and product managers while personally leading critical technical workstreams.## ## Role requirements* 6+ years' hands-on experience with financial systems, including at least 3 years leading teams, operating credibly at both strategic and technical levels.* Strong technical skills, including SQL proficiency and system integration and configuration experience, with the ability to personally troubleshoot complex reconciliation and system issues.* A track record as a working manager who leads by example and participates directly in technical delivery and problem resolution.* Deep operational knowledge of finance processes, with hands-on experience of maintaining and developing finance systems.* Project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage timelines, resources and deliverables for system implementations.* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities through critical periods such as month-end and year-end.* University degree in Finance, Business, Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).## ## Desirable* Experience designing, implementing or upgrading finance systems solutions.* Experience in fintech, investment management or trading environments, with an understanding of the trade lifecycle and settlement processes.* Familiarity with the platforms in IG's finance estate (for example AutoRek, FIS Integrity TMS, iRecs, HFM, Essbase, Concur, Sun systems or Anaplan).
