A fast-growing tech company in Warsaw is looking for a Finance & Operations Specialist to support financial and operational tasks within the organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of financial concepts, and excellent communication skills in Polish and English. This role involves activities like invoicing, payroll, and financial reporting, contributing to the efficiency of a dynamic team.

About the role

As a Finance & Operations Specialist you will be a crucial member of our Finance and People Operations Team, working closely with other members of the team, stakeholders across the entire Zowie business, and external service providers. Your responsibilities will include a broad range of financial and operational tasks essential to our high-growth, dynamic business, including:

  • Supporting all financial and operational tasks of a high-growth B2B business, including payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Invoicing customers, reporting cash collections and working with our corporate expense management platform
  • Processing invoices and managing payments to vendors
  • Supporting forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Supporting and/or leading selected processes regarding Zowie employees and contractors
  • Identifying potential inefficiencies and proposing improvements to the processes you execute
  • Taking part in other projects involving Finance function in Zowie
Ideally, you'll bring with you:
  • Good knowledge of key financial issues and concepts
  • 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting and/or controlling
  • Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A high degree of ownership and focus on quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Polish and English

It’ll be awesome if you have:
  • Degree in finance, accounting or business administration
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment or an IT/SaaS business
  • Knowledge in US-specific accounting and/or HR matters
