Job summary

Hyva Kraków is seeking a detail-oriented finance assistant to help create and maintain process documentation, provide GL accounting support, and collaborate across teams.

You will assist in preparing standard financial reports, support internal operations, and participate in audits and ad-hoc finance projects while improving procedures. Strong English and 30+ hours per week are required.

Qualifications

• Educational background in accounting or similar field.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Good command of English.
• Availability: at least 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Preparing Financial Reports: Help compile standard financial reports, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements, gaining insight into core accounting practices.
• Support Internal Operations: Contribute to the smooth running of the team by organizing documents, reviewing procedures, and ensuring everything is in order.
• Learn Basic Accounting Entries: Make simple bookings and journal entries with guidance, building your confidence in real-world accounting systems.
• Collaborate on Postings: Work alongside experienced team members to prepare and review financial postings, learning from their expertise.
• Contribute to Financial Analysis: Support ad hoc analysis and reporting tasks, helping the team make informed decisions.
• Document Procedures: Help write and update internal procedures, contributing to process improvements and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in Audits: Be part of the annual group and statutory audit process, gaining exposure to audit requirements and best practices.
• Participate in Projects: Get involved in financial analysis and special projects, expanding your understanding of how finance supports business goals.
