The LDES Council is a global organization, with founding members and a Board made up of executives and business leaders from leading energy companies, technology providers, investorsand end-users. The LDESCouncil strives to acceleratedecarbonisation of the energy system by driving innovation, commercialisation and deployment of long duration energy storage.

Launched on November 4,2021 at COP26, the LDES Council is rapidly growing and has established itself as a catalyst in driving global dialogues on long duration storage by providing fact-based guidance and information drawn from members’ expertise. The LDES Council is hiring an Executive Assistant to serve as the assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and support the LDES Council staff in administrative tasks. This position reports to the Chief of Staff.

A successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of Executive Assistant experience, that includes leading relationships with C-level executives and managing schedules, meetings, e-mail and travel for one or more executives. The candidate should possess a successful track record of problem solving and a high attention to detail. Strong writing skills, the ability to manage multiple time zones and a collaborative and flexible work style are required.

Essential Functions

Executive Support

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar across multiple time zones, ensuring alignment with priorities and making rapid adjustments as needed.
  • Manage CEO’s inbox, including triaging messages, drafting responses, ensuring timely follow-up and keeping the CEO informed of critical communications.
  • Keep the CEO highly organized, managing to-do lists, deadlines and administrative workflows to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions from the CEO’s meetings, travel and engagements, ensuring commitments are tracked and completed.
  • Serve as the CEO’s liaison with staff to coordinate tasks, requests, and information flow across the team.

Travel & Meeting Support

  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials and presentations in partnership with the Chief of Staff and other team members.
  • Manage domestic and international travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and submit reimbursements and expense reports for the CEO.

Other Duties

  • Support file management and document organization through SharePoint, including templates, resources, and member assets.
  • Conduct basic research on prospective and current members, events and other ad hoc issues.
  • Ensure new CRM is updated with CEO’s contacts and meetings.
  • Work closely with the Operations team on events and administrative tasks.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and support special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or comparable role.
  • Strong and efficient verbal and written communicator in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to get things done with limited supervision.
  • Experience and comfort with Microsoft Suite required. Salesforce and Monday.com experience strongly preferred.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly pivot and work across many competing and changing priorities and deadlines.
  • International experience or familiarity working with global organisations strongly preferred.

Location

This is a remote position and may be located anywhere the candidate is legally authorized to work. The Executive Assistant will initially work U.S. hours and is expected to eventually transition to CET.
