The firm is committed to innovation, leveraging advanced technology to deliver solutions in risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Role Overview

The Data Governance Analyst role is part of the Centralized Modelling Analytics & Operations (CMAO) team within Enterprise Risk Management’s Financial Risk organization, supporting data governance across Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Stress Testing systems.

The team is responsible for ensuring that data used in risk aggregation and regulatory reporting across ERM systems meets defined data quality standards, including completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. The role supports compliance with BCBS 239 principles by strengthening governance frameworks around risk data aggregation, lineage, and controls, and by enhancing transparency, traceability, and accountability in risk reporting processes.

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates should have a strong understanding of financial risks, particularly Credit Risk and Market Risk, combined with solid technical skills, including proficiency in SQL.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of data quality checks for critical data elements within ERM systems, as well as the investigation and resolution of data quality issues to ensure the integrity and reliability of risk data used in reporting.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Collaborate with ERM, Business, and IT teams to design and implement governance frameworks supporting risk data aggregation and reporting (e.g., CCST, Market Risk, Limit Management). Support the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks across reporting tiers, aligned with BCBS 239 principles. Ensure data governance artifacts (e.g., data definitions, lineage, controls, and ownership) and risk reporting procedures are established, maintained, and regularly reviewed. Partner with data stewards to resolve data quality issues and enforce standards related to materiality, consistency, and governance controls. Design, implement, and maintain data quality checks within Collibra and related data quality platforms for critical data elements across ERM systems. Investigate and resolve data quality issues by querying underlying data sources to identify root causes and ensure data integrity and traceability.

What We Value
  • Strong experience in the ERM financial risk domain, including credit risk or credit analytics, with solid knowledge of financial instruments; experience with ERM systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines, analytical solutions, and reporting processes within Python, SQL, and Databricks environments is highly desirable.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of strategic data and reporting solutions, leveraging automation, data integration, and analytical technologies to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of ERM reporting processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of a large, complex, global organization.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Very good command of English.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in business, finance, or a related field; a technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in large financial institutions, with exposure to data-intensive processes, risk reporting, or data governance.

The role requires attendance in the office three days per week.
