Purpose of Role

This role serves as a critical link between design engineering and project execution, ensuring technical feasibility and operational excellence across the full project lifecycle. By managing design work, supporting cross‑functional teams, and engaging directly with customers and suppliers, the position drives improvements in equipment performance, project delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process design work, including general arrangement drawings, conceptual models, and layout drawings.
  • Support sales and operations by reviewing customer technical specifications during tenders, handling complaints, conducting root cause analysis, evaluating concession requests, and providing hands‑on technical guidance on the shop floor. Ensure proactive cross‑functional collaboration and ownership of deliverables.
  • Contribute to new supplier development by assessing technical capabilities, guiding production localisation, and inspecting major ongoing orders.
  • Attend customer visits to understand technical aspects of new opportunities and identify improvement areas for process mechanical equipment or pipelines. Support capital projects through effective execution and coordination to enhance customer satisfaction and project success.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 5 years of strong technical knowledge.
  • Experienced designer in rotating equipment, mineral processing equipment, and fabrications such as bed plates, walkways, chutes, and vessels and familiarity with various manufacturing methods including sheet metal forming, welding, and machining.
  • Experience in EPC or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Proficient with major 3D CAD systems, ideally Siemens NX, and experienced with 2D/3D modelling.
  • Knowledge of Team Centre PLM, ASME, API, DIN standards, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Polish and in English, willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
