Job summary

Fortive is seeking an Engineering Software Specialist to support engineering software across EMEA and APAC. You will work with Cadence, Creo, Jira, GitHub and Oracle PLM, collaborating weekly with teams in the US and Canada.

The role emphasizes automation, Python scripts, Docker and cloud/on-premises solutions to improve efficiency and enable career growth within a lean processes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Software, Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
• Experience using CAD systems in professional or school settings.
• Scripting experience in Python.
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving methodology.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and offboard software suppliers.
• Renew licenses for engineering software.
• Assist users with application installations.
• Automate installation and upgrade of engineering applications.
• Identify and drive engineering systems improvements.
• Create, maintain and improve software customizations and system integrations.
• Implement cloud and on-premises solutions.
