WHY IS THIS ROLE IMPORTANT FOR US

As an Engineering Manager (EM) help us to enhance and rebuild the next‑generation Client Reporting experience. This journey involves simplification and modernization of a established product, enhancing UI experience, bringing test automation to a completely new level, looking for different ways to help us run more efficiently and reduce friction for our engineers.

As an EM, you will lead a cross‑organizational effort, collaborating with product management, architecture, and services teams to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery.

What you will be responsible for:
  • Leading 2 teams of Software Engineers with responsibility for hiring, growing, and upskilling your team through 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and goal setting.
  • Assuming responsibility for delivery and continuous improvement, for example, in product quality, security and system performance.
  • Facilitating agile team processes and helping remove impediments that block the team’s progress.
  • Working with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the team’s work is aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Overall, an EM plays a crucial role in leading and guiding the teams within SimCorp, ensuring that teams are well‑positioned to support SimCorp’s goals and objectives.

  • Conceptual understanding of TDD and Agile practices (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Having experience in developing, deploying and/or operating Cloud Native products is a plus.
  • Experience working in an international setting with people from different cultures and time zones to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing).
  • Being able to create a culture of continuous learning, mentoring & coaching.
