At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Engineering Graduate for Babcock Polska.

About Babcock

Babcock is an international engineering and defence company. For over a century Babcock International have helped to defend nations, protect communities, and build a better world. To continue, we must adapt, advance and be a sustainable business with a shared goal.

Babcock’s Arrowhead 140 (AH140) frigate was selected by the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium as the baseline platform design for the Miecznik frigates. The design licence agreement enables the Consortium to build three Arrowhead 140 frigates in Poland with bespoke design modifications of the AH140 baseline for the Polish Navy.

Working with the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium, Babcock also supports the Polish programme through a transfer of knowledge and technologies to enable the build the frigates in Polish shipyards with a local workforce, drawing significantly from Polish suppliers and Babcock’s global supply chain.

About the role

As an Engineering Graduate at Babcock Polska, you will embark on an accredited two-year rotation through some of the most complex engineering projects in the world today. You will be at the centre of defining your path through the programme, guided by a professional mentor, and supported by the early careers team every step of the way.

Whilst part of a wider graduate programme across Babcock, this is a unique role in a growing area of business operating out of Gdynia, Poland. This role will involve working within blended teams supporting the PGZ-MIECZNIK Consortium, as well as the opportunity to contribute to other upcoming work in Poland. Over the two-year programme you will complete four six-month placements, providing a variety of experience in different roles across Babcock. The placement roles could cover areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Advanced Manufacturing, Project Management, Business Growth and Strategy and many more.

For most of your placements, you will be based in Gdynia supporting Babcock’s work on all things MIECZNIK. Additionally, for one of your exciting placements you will be based in the UK at one of Babcock’s leading Shipbuilding and Manufacturing hubs. Here you will experience how Babcock UK offer cutting edge engineering capabilities to defence and civil markets.
