Job summary

Proteron Technologies in Kraków, Poland, is seeking a software testing/validation engineer for embedded Linux on ARM targets. You will build and run test automation, drive CI pipelines, and contribute to hardware-in-the-loop validation of defence-grade systems.

You’ll own measurement-driven verification, packaging and cross-compilation workflows, and work with open-source autopilots integration to ensure reliability across the full stack.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional software testing or validation on embedded Linux (ARM targets), including at least one project where you built, not just used, test automation with physical hardware in the loop (exceptional candidates with less tenure but demonstrable ownership — e.g., a competition drone team's test rig — are explicitly welcome)
  • Fluent Python automation and CI experience (GitLab CI / Jenkins / GitHub Actions) driving real devices
  • Linux packaging and cross-compilation basics (containers, .deb, CMake or Cargo)

Responsibilities

  • Stand up and maintain test benches for embedded Linux on ARM targets
  • Develop and run automated tests and CI pipelines across hardware-in-the-loop setups
  • Contribute to packaging, cross-compilation workflows and release processes
  • Participate in reliability and performance campaigns across the full stack
