Job summary

Amazon in Poland is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to help build firmware for Ring/Blink cameras with a strong focus on IoT and AI. You will work closely with partners, colleagues, and teams to deliver features and products from concept to customer.

The role requires hands-on embedded development in C/C++, ARM familiarity, and GenAI usage to enhance product capabilities. You will join a dynamic, collaborative environment supporting growth and innovation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Extensive experience in computer architecture and embedded wireless systems.
• Extensive embedded development experience in C or C++, and familiarity with ARM CPUs.
• Extensive experience with writing low-level drivers, interrupt service routines and general troubleshooting/debugging with hardware.
• Strong GenAI user for day-to-day activities.

About the team

We are developing firmware for Ring and Blink cameras.

The minimum base pay salary for this position is listed below. Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include further pay components such as a sign on payment, the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA, and sales incentives where applicable. Your recruiting team will share final base pay and any applicable total compensation elements depending on skills and requirements. The minimum base pay for this position is PLN 19,166 monthly.

Basic Qualifications

• Software development experience
• Extensive experience in computer architecture and embedded wireless systems
• Extensive embedded development experience in C or C++, and familiarity with ARM CPUs
• Extensive experience with writing low-level drivers, interrupt service routines and general troubleshooting/debugging with hardware
• Strong GenAI user for day-to-day activities

• Experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART
• Experience with software testing (unit, regression and system testing)
• Knowledge of embedded Linux and FreeRTOS
• Comfortable in some scripting language such as Python
• Experience in building GenAI applications
• Experience with AWS
