Job summary

Tieto is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Wrocław to join our engineering team working on next-generation wireless access products. You will gain hands-on experience across the embedded software stack, from hardware bring-up to driver development and system optimization, in a hybrid work setup.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in embedded software, strong C skills, Linux-based systems experience, and a passion for telecom tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics or related field.
• 2+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in C; Linux-based embedded systems experience.
• Understanding of BSP development and device drivers.
• Knowledge of multithreading concepts and concurrency management.
• Experience with system debugging techniques and development toolchains.
• Experience with hardware interfaces and low-level software.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in embedded software development for wireless access products.
• Support software integration on new hardware platforms (ASIC / SoC / FPGA).
• Assist in BSP and device driver development.
• Contribute to bootloader and firmware development activities.
• Support debugging and troubleshooting of low-level software issues.
• Participate in software testing and quality improvement initiatives.
• Help optimize system performance and stability.
• Collaborate with hardware, software and system engineering teams.
• Learn and contribute to O-RAN and radio software technologies.
