Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the engineering team on challenging UPS and generator projects. The role covers design, specification, and technical documentation from handover through to completion, with hybrid working in London or Berkshire.

You will design electrical packages for UPS/generator systems and provide lifecycle support, collaborating with internal teams and attending Factory Witness Tests in the UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering/background in electrical design.
• Experience designing or specifying generator and/or UPS systems.
• Experience with electrical packages in critical power/data centre environments.
• Ability to interpret project specs and develop compliant technical solutions.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Job DescriptionElectrical Project Engineer | Critical Power | London or Berkshire

I’m currently working with a leading specialist in critical power and mission-critical infrastructure who are looking to add an Electrical Project Engineer to their engineering team. This is a design-focused position, working across UPS and generator projects with responsibility for the electrical packages from initial project handover through to completion. The role:

• Design and specify electrical packages for UPS and generator systems
• Provide technical support throughout the engineering and project lifecycle
• Produce electrical design documentation, technical submissions, scopes of work and studies
• Develop method statements, procedures, risk assessments and test documentation
• Work closely with internal engineering and project teams
• Attend Factory Witness Tests for generators and control systems in the UK and Europe
• Support the production of O&M and project documentation

I’m looking for someone with:

• A strong electrical engineering / electrical design background
• Experience designing or specifying generator and/or UPS systems
• Experience working with electrical packages within critical power, data centres, mission-critical or similar environments
• The ability to interpret project specifications and develop compliant technical solutions
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills

Location: London or Berkshire

Hybrid role with project/site involvement as required
