DevOps Engineer with GCP

Job summary

HeadHR in Kraków is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build and manage the GCP foundation platform enabling seamless application deployments. You will engineer cloud solutions using Terraform and integrate centrally provided services including IAM, networking, logging, OS, and containers.

You will ensure security and operational risk compliance, maintain runbooks and change management, and participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud services on a CSP, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of SDN within cloud platforms.
• Expert-level DevOps and IaC (Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of IAM (ADFS, OAuth).
• Familiarity with cloud compliance, auditing, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, or Scala.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON processing.
• Bonus: experience with Webpack, Babel, Vite.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Job description

You will

• Build and manage the GCP foundation platform to support application deployments


• Engineer cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)


• Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided cloud services, including:

1. IAM


2. Networking


3. Logging


4. Operating systems


5. Containers

Ensure compliance with centrally defined Security standards

Ensure compliance with Operational Risk standards (Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency)

Maintain and update support/operational documentation

Follow and enforce correct Change Management processes as per central guidelines

Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support outside business hours

• Ability to build strong relationships with application teams, cross-functional IT, and global/local engineering teams
