Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage migrations and ensure reliability of production and staging systems. You will handle incident response, on-call support, and work to improve observability and automation in a Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

The role requires experience with AWS, CI/CD systems, GitOps, and strong scripting skills. Weekend availability for migrations is essential, and collaboration with product and support teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Operations.
• Proven AWS experience supporting production environments.
• Experience with production SaaS applications.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar).
• GitOps experience and strong Git fundamentals.
• Experience using GitHub, Jira, and Confluence in collaborative engineering environments.
• Kubernetes experience (EKS, kOps, or similar).
• Observability stack experience (Grafana/Prometheus/Loki/PagerDuty).
• Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Helm, or similar).
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL for troubleshooting.
• Ability to work within structured operational processes and SLAs.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Self-driven with a growth mindset.
• Weekend availability for migrations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Migrate applications between environments; weekend migrations required.
• Monitor production and staging environments in real time for high availability and performance.
• Respond to incidents, perform triage and root cause analysis, and contribute to post-incident reviews.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with defined SLAs.
• Handle ad-hoc operational requests from Product, Support, and internal teams.
• Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, logs, and metrics; improve signal-to-noise ratio.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, production releases, and GitOps workflows.
• Contribute to automation to reduce operational toil.
• Maintain and improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure and containerized workloads.
• Support Infrastructure as Code practices and ongoing environment improvements.
