GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to support a high-priority risk reduction programme for a complex AWS-based platform.

You will contribute to logging hygiene, network security, and scalable deployment pipelines across OpenSearch, Lambda and ECS, with Cognito-based access control and RBAC implementations. You will work autonomously, coordinate with platform SMEs, and drive remediation plans to completion while maintaining zero-downtime deployments and strong security

Formación

• Strong hands-on AWS DevOps experience in large-scale production environments.
• Experience with AWS CodeBuild and CloudWatch Logs retention and encryption policies.
• Expertise in AWS networking: VPC, subnets, security groups, and egress control.
• Experience with OpenSearch, AWS Lambda, and Amazon ECS.
• Experience with AWS Cognito and RBAC.
• Nice-to-have Python knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Quickly align with and carry out agreed remediation plans alongside platform SMEs.
• Drive measurable reduction of operational, security and delivery risk.
• Rebuild the platform’s deployment pipelines.
• Implement log retention and encryption policies in CloudWatch.
• Restrict subnet-level access to internal OpenSearch indexes.
• Reconfigure VPC and subnet setup to control Lambda and ECS egress, with zero downtime.
• Implement roles and access for the customer portal using AWS Cognito.
• Update a large number of APIs safely and on time.
• Work as part of an engineering squad.
• Take ownership of a workstream after SME handover and drive it to completion.

The Client is one of the majour insurance companies in the UK.
This role supports a high-priority risk reduction programme for the Green Flag MyCro Platform, a complex technology estate built on AWS. Platform SMEs have already designed remediation plans and started putting them into effect. The DevOps engineer we’re looking for will help speed up delivery across key areas: logging hygiene, network security for key data stores, VPC egress control, Cognito-based access management and a rebuild of the platform’s deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on AWS DevOps experience in large-scale production environments
• AWS deployment tooling, including AWS CodeBuild
• AWS CloudWatch Logs: retention and encryption policies
• AWS networking: VPC, subnets, Security Groups, egress control
• Amazon OpenSearch, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS
• Experience with AWS Cognito and RBAC
• Python knowledge would be extremely advantageous
• Proven delivery of risk reduction initiatives
• Experience making complex network changes with zero downtime
• Able to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and take ownership of a workstream
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
