Job summary

U.S. Bank is expanding its DevOps capability in Warsaw with a team of engineers to design, build, automate, and operate a modern, cloud-native core banking platform using Thought Machine Vault.

The roles require working in a regulated financial services context and ensuring resilience, security, and compliance across environments. The team will implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and robust observability, while collaborating with architects and stakeholders to meet regulatory controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps experience in banking, fintech, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong AWS cloud engineering background.
• Hands-on IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Experience building enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting highly available production environments.
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, etc.).
• Strong container experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with Kafka in production and event-driven architectures.
• Agile delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure for the core banking platform.
• Develop and maintain IaC to provision resilient environments.
• Ensure platform availability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve developer experience.
• Support incident management and disaster recovery.
