Job summary

Vonage is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the CoreVoice team and help keep our global voice platform highly available and scalable. You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and work with engineering teams to ensure continuous delivery without downtime.

The role emphasizes automation, monitoring, and reliable deployments using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and standard CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role.
• Hands-on with AWS services (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proficient in Python/Shell/Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, ArgoCD) and automated deploy workflows.
• Familiar with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, CloudWatch).
• Strong automation focus and ability to operate in a distributed team.

• Design and implement infrastructure automation to reduce manual operations and increase reliability.

Your key responsibilities

• Maintain, improve, and evolve CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling to supporta high-availability, high-demand voice platform
• Design and implement infrastructure automation to reduce manual operationsand increase system reliability
• Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure platform health and performance
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support scalability, maintainability, and optimization of the CoreVoice infrastructure
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives — from deployment workflows to operational runbooks
• Contribute to the evolution of an existing production system while maintaining uninterrupted service delivery

What you'll bring

Required:

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, networking)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
• Good abilities in Python/Shell/Bash and other scripting languages
• Proven knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, ArgoCD) and automated build/deployment workflows
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, or CloudWatch
• A self-starter mindset with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a distributed team

Experience we consider a plus:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with SIP protocol, VoIPMonitor or similar VoIP monitoring tools
• Background in telecom, SaaS, or high-availability platform environments
