Job summary

SIX in Poland seeks a Data Transformation Manager to turn complex business needs into scalable automation, AI, and data solutions. You will combine Python, SQL, APIs, Databricks, and cloud technologies to deliver value across Data Operations.

You will own the automation portfolio end-to-end, translate business requirements into technical specs, and collaborate with Data Operations, IT, and external partners. The role offers a hybrid model with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of software/automation engineering, application development, data engineering, or solution architecture experience in regulated industries.
• Hands-on development with Python, SQL, Databricks, APIs, Power Platform, and Power BI.
• Experience building enterprise apps, automation solutions, system integrations, and AI/LLM-based capabilities (Copilot, agents, RAG).
• Strong delivery mindset; able to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions in Agile environments (Jira, Confluence, Git, OpenShift/Kubernetes, CI/CD).

Ready to shape the future of Data Operations? As a Data Transformation Manager, you will combine technology, automation, and AI to turn complex business needs into smart, scalable solutions. You will take ideas from concept to implementation and help us create more efficient and innovative ways of working with data.

What You Will Do

• Identify, design, build, and implement automation, application development, and AI solutions across Data Operations using Python, SQL, APIs, Databricks, Power Platform, and modern cloud technologies.
• Own the automation and application development portfolio end-to-end, from opportunity assessment and business case creation through solution architecture, development, deployment, and value realization.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, solution architectures, user stories, and scalable software products, acting as the bridge between Data Operations, IT, data platform teams, and external partners.
• Develop, test, and maintain custom applications, automation frameworks, APIs, data pipelines, Copilot agents, and AI-powered solutions, applying software engineering best practices including CI/CD, version control, testing, and monitoring.
• Build reporting and analytics solutions to measure automation adoption, service performance, operational efficiency, and business impact, while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, well-documented, and maintainable.

What You Bring

• Several years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, application development, data engineering, or solution architecture within financial services, banking, asset management, or other regulated industries.
• Strong hands-on development experience in Python, SQL, Databricks, APIs, Microsoft Power Platform, and Power BI, combined with a solid understanding of software architecture, databases, data modelling, and data quality principles.
• Experience building enterprise applications, automation solutions, system integrations, and AI/LLM-based capabilities, including Copilot, intelligent agents, workflow orchestration, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Strong delivery mindset with experience translating business challenges into scalable technical solutions, working in Agile environments using Jira, Confluence, Git, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences; financial market data experience and German language skills are advantageous.
