The opportunity

Stepping into the role of Data Risk Control SL/Enablement Specialist offers a unique opportunity to help lead a global initiative focused on mitigating one of the most critical risks facing organizations today: data exfiltration. This role places you at the forefront of implementing people, process, and technical controls that safeguard sensitive information across diverse business environments worldwide.

This position offers the opportunity to work with Information Security, technology teams, and business stakeholders worldwide to ensure controls are implemented effectively, risks are managed proactively, and remediation activities are executed consistently. You will serve as a key operational leader helping drive the success of Information Security data protection initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

As the Data Risk Control SL/Enablement, you will support the execution and operational management of the Data Risk Control program (including the Dataguard program) by coordinating activities designed to prevent data exfiltration across regions and service lines.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, Information Security teams, product owners, and regional leaders to facilitate control deployment, address implementation challenges, and support risk mitigation efforts. In this role, you will coordinate the implementation and operational management of data protection controls across EY while serving as a primary point of contact for regional teams and business stakeholders regarding control deployment and adoption.

You will be responsible for tracking implementation progress, remediation activities, risk mitigation plans, and key program milestones to ensure successful delivery of program objectives. The role requires supporting stakeholder engagement, communications, education, and awareness efforts to drive adoption and compliance with data protection requirements.

Additionally, you will help prepare program metrics, status reports, executive presentations, and governance materials for leadership review. You will coordinate testing, validation, and documentation activities associated with control implementations and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and operational efficiency.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in the field of Technology Risk Management and/or a similar field in Information Security capability.
• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in policy frameworks such as ISO & COBIT.
• Strong English language skills: excellent writing, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• One or more of the following or equivalent certifications: Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Security Processional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in related area, CIPP, CIPT
• A strong understanding and constant update on external risk trends and business standards. This role acts as an advisor and as such should be up to date with the latest methodologies and externalities that EY needs to prepare for from a risk perspective.
• A strong understanding of the EY Business and Service Line Risk Priorities.
