Job summary

Fresenius Group, through Fresenius Digital Technology, seeks a senior data quality leader to define and drive an enterprise-wide data quality framework. You will collaborate with data owners and domain leads to embed data quality across business processes and transformation programs, ensuring robust governance and regulatory alignment.

The role emphasizes building KPIs, scorecards, and monitoring across multiple data domains, with English fluency required and German a plus.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of professional experience in data quality management, data governance, or enterprise data management.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data quality frameworks with KPIs, scorecards, and monitoring.
  • Strong experience in data quality measurement, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Experience across multiple data domains and business functions with end-to-end data flows.
  • Experience embedding data quality into large-scale transformation programs (ERP, data platforms, analytics).
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and governance models integration.
  • Experience in federated or matrix organizations with distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance contexts in data-related areas.
  • Exposure to data tooling ecosystems (profiling, monitoring, catalog solutions).
  • Fluent in English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and enhance the enterprise-wide Data Quality framework with standards, definitions, KPIs, and thresholds.
  • Establish and manage the Data Quality scorecard for transparency of data quality performance.
  • Monitor and analyze data quality metrics across the data lifecycle and report to governance forums.
  • Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analyses, and define remediation measures.
  • Drive enforcement of data quality policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Domain Leads to embed data quality in processes.
  • Provide expertise and advisory support on data quality standards and best practices.
  • Support transformation programs by ensuring data quality requirements are defined, monitored, and enforced.
  • Promote a culture of data quality awareness and accountability across business and IT.

Job description

As Fresenius Digital Technology, we are an integral part of the Fresenius Group, responsible for the IT of the healthcare group and its business segments. We ensure a frictionless interface of IT and business operations so that all employees in production, logistics, and other areas can work efficiently and without interference.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Define, implement, and continuously enhance the enterprise-wide Data Quality (DQ) framework, including standards, definitions, KPIs, and thresholds
  • Establish and manage the Data Quality scorecard, ensuring transparency of data quality performance across the organization
  • Monitor and analyze data quality metrics across the full data lifecycle and ensure consistent reporting to relevant governance forums
  • Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analyses, and define appropriate remediation and prevention measures
  • Drive enterprise-wide enforcement of data quality policies, standards, and procedures
  • Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Domain Leads to embed data quality practices within business processes
  • Provide expertise and advisory support to stakeholders on data quality standards, initiatives, and best practices
  • Support transformation programs and initiatives by ensuring data quality requirements are defined, monitored, and enforced
  • Promote a culture of data quality awareness and accountability across business and IT functions

What is important from our point of view:

  • Strong experience in data quality measurement, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Experience working across multiple data domains and business functions, with a solid understanding of end-to-end data flows
  • Experience in embedding data quality into large-scale transformation programs (e.g., ERP, data platforms, analytics initiatives)
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and how data quality integrates into governance models
  • Experience working in federated or matrix organizations, collaborating with distributed teams
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements impacting data quality (e.g., financial, healthcare, or data protection contexts)
  • Exposure to data tooling ecosystems (e.g., data profiling, monitoring, catalog solutions)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
  • Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
