Job summary

Mettler-Toledo, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer (all genders) in Warsaw, Poland. This role focuses on designing and maintaining the central data platform, supporting analytics, and AI/ML initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in data engineering, strong skills in data processing frameworks and relevant technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain METTLER TOLEDO’s central data platform.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and ensure high-quality data flows.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.

Skills

Data processing frameworks: Apache Spark, Snowflake or Databricks

Data storage technologies: Lakehouse/Delta Lake, data lakes

Programming languages: Python, SQL

Analytical and problem solving skills

Collaboration in a cross-functional environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent

Tools

Orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)

Cloud platforms (preferably Azure)

Metadata management tools
