Job summary

State Street in Kraków seeks a data quality professional to maintain and extend the Data Quality Framework for Risk, Finance, and Treasury. You will align the data dictionary with the enterprise glossary and manage provider/consumer relationships to ensure data is fit for purpose.

You will verify operational controls with Business Owners, capture metadata, and ensure data lineage accuracy in the Data Catalog, supporting data integration projects and end-to-end testing while driving continuous

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data management concepts, principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence staff and customers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to motivate and influence staff and customers.
  • Hands-on understanding of data sets relevant for BU ( SME ).
  • Ability to understand data models, data taxonomy, and data standards and data quality.
  • Experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI) preferred.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Fluent English is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and developing Data Quality Framework for Risk, Finance and Treasury.

  • Ensure that application data lineage (inputs, outputs) is accurate and updated in the Data Catalog.
  • Participate in data integration projects to ensure appropriate data is used and data quality controls are implemented.
  • Drive resolution of data quality issues and exceptions with stakeholders.
  • Participating in comprehensive end-to-end Data Quality testing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase team productivity.
  • Status reporting on assigned tasks.

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data dictionary aligned to enterprise glossary to ensure data context and meaning is clear to Data Consumers and other stakeholders
  • Manage Data Provider/Consumer relationships and confirm that data is fit for purpose
  • Engage Business Owners to verify that operational controls (business and IT) are implemented and fully documented to mitigate data quality risks.
  • Capture technical metadata and associate physical data structures to business data element definitions within the Data Catalog.
  • Ensure that application data lineage (inputs, outputs) is accurate and updated in the Data Catalog.
  • Participate in data integration projects to ensure appropriate data is used, data quality controls are implemented, and the Data Catalog is updated.
  • Drive resolution of data quality issues and exceptions by collaborating with business process owners, technology experts or other key stakeholder and subject matter experts.
  • Participating in the preparation and execution of comprehensive, end to end Data Quality testing
  • Being an active participant of the continues improvement initiatives aiming to increase the team's productivity through appropriate analysis and re-engineering business processes
  • Status reporting on assigned tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts, principles and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence staff and customers are required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to motivate and influence staff and customers are required.
  • Hands-on experience and full understanding (SME level) of data sets relevant for BU.
  • Ability to understand data models, data taxonomy, and a deep appreciation of data standards and data quality.
  • Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot), Word and Visio
  • Experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI) are preferably
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Self-confidence, high energy and tenacity in bringing issues to closure and moving forward are highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Finance)
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in capital markets or financial markets infrastructure, with roles in data governance, risk management of compliance
  • Ability to take ownership and initiative, be accountable and proactive, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in English is a must

Minimum Salary:

zł132,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
