Client Server Limited is seeking a senior Data Engineer / Team Lead in Krakow to own and deliver data pipelines on GCP (BigQuery) and DBT, while mentoring a squad of data engineers. You will drive data quality, governance, and observability across batch and real-time workloads.

You’ll combine technical leadership with people management, coaching, and a focus on engineering excellence in a regulated financial services context. Hybrid work from Krakow office with home days.

Qualifications

Data Engineer / Team Lead (GCP BigQuery DBT) Krakow to 35,000 PLN p/month

Are you a senior Data Engineer with GCP skills combined with leadership experience?

You could be progressing your career in a Data Engineer / Team Lead role at a global FinTech / CFD trading company that has been consistently voted as a top employer.

As a Data Engineer / Team Lead you'll lead the delivery of data pipeline and platform capabilities within the GCP consolidation programme, owning Squad commitments end-to-end across batch and real time Kafka workloads. You'll combine technical leadership with people management, coaching and developing a Squad of Data Engineers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence, ownership and continuous improvement.

Data quality will be a key priority. You'll embed data contracts, observability and SLA monitoring across ingestion and transformation layers within the Medallion architecture, ensuring data is reliable, fresh and fit for purpose.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in the Krakow offices that offer a wide range of facilities and all the latest kit, with flexibility to work from home twice a week.

About you:

• You have experience of leading or technically mentoring data engineers, with the ability to set standards, conduct code and design reviews and develop the engineers' capabilities
• You have strong, hands-on experience building and operating production grade data pipelines on GCP includingBigQuery, with strong SQL and Python skills
• You have experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming / pub/sub technologies, including designing event driven ingestion patterns and troubleshooting real time data flows under operational conditions
• You're familiar with modern transformation tooling, particularlyDBT and have an appreciation of Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture patterns and how they support self-service analytics
• You're comfortable working in a regulated financial services environment, with an understanding of data governance requirements (lineage, access control, audit trails) and the discipline tooperatewithin change control processes
• You have fluent English language skills
