Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Data/Backend Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes in a remote setup. You will develop data integration solutions using Python, SQL, APIs, and automation, and work with Azure services such as Databricks and Data Factory to build scalable data platforms.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is a key part of the role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in data engineering, backend development, or cloud

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL for data engineering tasks.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines with ETL/ELT processes.
• Knowledge of Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Storage) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Develop data integration solutions using Python, SQL, APIs, and automation
• Develop data processing solutions using technologies such as Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Factory
• Support the development and operation of data solutions using Azure and Microsoft Fabric technologies

Job Requirements

• Experience in Data Engineering, Backend Development, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role
• Good knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions
• Familiarity with Azure data services such as Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Storage, or Microsoft Fabric
• Understanding of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse architectures
• Experience with Git, CI/CD processes, and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Bicep
• A collaborative approach and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and clients

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Spark technologies, and monitoring solutions within Azure environments
• Microsoft Azure, Databricks, or Fabric certifications
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
