Job summary

Ayesa Digital is seeking a Data Center Technician to support an international project with FRONTEX, focusing on installation, maintenance, and operational support of IT infrastructure in data center environments. You will ensure equipment, cabling, documentation, and procedures meet established standards.

The role involves working across FrontEX sites in Poland and other European locations, in a multicultural, international environment. Strong hands-on IT skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 6 qualification in a relevant technical, IT, engineering, or STEM-related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in IT-related environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar Data Center / IT Infrastructure position.
  • Minimum B2 level of English according to the CEFR.
  • Hands-on experience with server and network device installation.
  • Understanding of rack layouts, PDUs, cabling standards, and labelling.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, including LAN, patching, and switches.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management and inventory systems.
  • Experience following change management and data center procedures.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge of hardware components and IT equipment.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proven experience with Rack & Stack procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also working independently.
  • Category B driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Install, position, and connect servers, network devices, and other IT equipment within data center environments.
  • Perform Rack & Stack activities, ensuring equipment is installed, secured, connected, and labelled.
  • Work with rack layouts, PDUs, cabling standards, and equipment labelling.
  • Perform basic installation and troubleshooting of hardware components and IT equipment.
  • Support basic network infrastructure activities, including LAN connections, patching, and switch connectivity.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and equipment records using established asset management systems.
  • Follow established change management, data center, security, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation, records, and operational reports.
  • Ensure equipment and infrastructure are organised and maintained to established standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and other stakeholders to resolve operational and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Work across FRONTEX sites in Poland and, when required, other European DRS locations.

We are currently looking for a Data Center Technician to join an international project supporting the European Border and Coast Guard Agency.

The role will focus on the installation, maintenance, organisation, and operational support of IT infrastructure within data center environments, ensuring that equipment, cabling, connectivity, documentation, and procedures are properly managed according to established technical and operational standards.

You will work in a multicultural and international environment, collaborating with technical teams and supporting different sites in Poland and other European locations.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

  • Availability to work across different FRONTEX sites in Poland and, when required, other DRS locations abroad.
  • Willingness to travel when required by the project.
