Job summary

Khan Academy India is seeking a data analyst to help with data management, transformation, analysis and visualization. You will design scalable data pipelines in BigQuery, automate data ingestion from sources like Google Sheets and APIs, and build dashboards in Looker Studio, Streamlit, or PowerBI to inform decision making.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in data analytics, strong SQL, and proficiency with Python or R, plus a business mindset and collaborative spirit.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a person who will help us with data management, transformation, analysis and visualization. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal tools to use for these purposes and then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. Optimally you have knowledge of at least one dynamic language and SQL, a good business mindset, and data analysis competencies

In this role you will:

• Data Integration: Automate ingestion of data from multiple sources (e.g., Google Sheets, APIs, internal systems) into BigQuery
• Database Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows in BigQuery; Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
• Exploratory Analysis: Perform descriptive and diagnostic analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
• Business Reporting: Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., in Streamlit, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar tools) to support decision-making.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

You are someone with:

• Experience with Education or EdTech industry is strongly preferred
• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done as we are growing
• 2 to 4 years of hands on experience in data analytics field, ideally in an education setting
• Strong SQL foundations & ability to manipulate data using R or Python
• Experience with BI tools like PowerBI, Streamlit, looker etc.
• Prior experience with the end-to-end analytics pipeline using GCP (e.g. ETL, ELT etc.)
• Knowledge of statistical models (i.e. multiple regression, hypothesis testing) for real-world applications
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Being aware of good practices when collaborating in version control (Git)
