We are looking for: Cybersecurity Project Manager (CSPM)

B2B, Excellent daily rate

Project Background

The assignment is delivered under a Frontex framework contract and focuses on cybersecurity project and portfolio management. The role supports alignment of information systems with business needs, ensuring governance, risk management, and delivery of cybersecurity initiatives, including work within EU-classified environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cybersecurity projects across their full lifecycle and scope
• Establish and control project milestones, ensuring timely delivery within scope
• Monitor, assure, and control quality of deliverables
• Identify, track, and communicate risks, issues, and scope changes
• Liaise with Project Board and key stakeholders
• Assign tasks, balance workload, and manage project teams
• Plan and control delivery processes for project outputs
• Manage internal and external communication across stakeholders
• Produce project documentation (plans, logs, schedules) and define responsibilities
• Prepare and present technical reports and project presentations
• Organize and lead project meetings

Required Profile & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, controls, and risk management (including Zero-Trust and defence-in-depth principles)
• Thorough understanding of IT and its alignment with business needs
• In-depth knowledge of legal, ethical, and compliance aspects of cybersecurity
• Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIST)
• Advanced project management, leadership, and communication skills
• Stakeholder, vendor, and procurement management capabilities
• Ability to produce high-quality documentation and presentations

Education & Experience

University degree (Level 7 minimum)

Minimum 10 years of relevant IT professional experience

Minimum 8 years in similar roles

Technical Knowledge

Mandatory:

• At least 4 certifications including:
  • Minimum 2 cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001 or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 project/service management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PM2, ITIL or equivalent)
• Strong experience in cybersecurity project management, ideally within EU classified environments
• Experience with project methodologies and tools (PM2, PMP, PRINCE2, ServiceNow)
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and priorities related to cybersecurity programs
• Broad architectural background in IT security solutions delivery
• Familiarity with industry-standard security policies and frameworks

Language

Working knowledge of English (B2 or higher)

Engagement Terms

Freelance-based engagement
Full-time (40 hours/week), flexible hours negotiable
Initial 220 working days (+10 EWH), with potential extensions up to a total of 880 working days over 4 years
