Job summary

ITDS is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst in Krakow for a hybrid work arrangement. You will lead investigations, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive remediation efforts for data breach events and security incidents within a highly regulated environment.

You will collaborate with Cybersecurity, IT, Data Protection and Risk teams, and communicate updates to senior stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Analyst or Incident Response role.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments, preferably in regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations.

Protect critical data — lead the response to global cybersecurity incidents and strengthen organizational resilience!

Krakow-based opportunity with a hybrid work model.

As a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, supporting the timely investigation, mitigation, and remediation of data breach events and security incidents. You will coordinate multiple business units, work closely with Cybersecurity, IT, Data Protection and Risk teams, and provide clear updates to key stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle. This role offers an opportunity to combine technical cybersecurity expertise with incident management and strategic communication within a highly regulated environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage the response to global Data Breach events and cybersecurity incidents
• Coordinate activities across multiple business and technical teams during incident response
• Provide timely and relevant updates to stakeholders and decision-makers
• Collaborate with Data Protection Officers, Cybersecurity leads, BIROs and Risk Managers
• Analyse, respond to and escalation security incidents in line with established procedures
• Support incidents through investigation, eradication, remediation and closure
• Identify opportunities to improve detection capabilities, use cases and response playbooks
• Contribute to lessons learned and initiatives aimed at strengthening cyber resilience
• Collaborate with wider Cybersecurity and IT teams

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar Cybersecurity Analyst or Incident Response role
• Strong problem-solving, investigative and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences
• Experience working in an enterprise-scale organization, preferably within financial services or another regulated environment
• Strong decision-making and prioritization skills
• Good knowledge of GDPR requirements and data protection regulations
• Understanding of common operating systems and enterprise technology platforms
• Knowledge of SIEM, log management, Big Data and Cloud-based security monitoring solutions

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in Data Breach Response or Cybersecurity Incident Management
• Experience with SIEM platforms and developing detection use cases
• Experience creating or improving incident response playbooks
• Previous experience in the financial or highly regulated sector
