About the Role

As an Automotive Cybersecurity Architect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and resilience of automotive systems and connected vehicles. You will have a direct impact on the business by designing and implementing robust cybersecurity architectures and strategies, safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of vehicle data and functionality. This position works within the Cybersecurity division or team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive cybersecurity initiatives.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity architectures and strategies for automotive systems, considering industry best practices and relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define security requirements and integrate cybersecurity measures throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis to identify potential security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Define and implement secure communication protocols, access control mechanisms, and encryption solutions within automotive systems.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with emerging cybersecurity technologies, trends, and regulations, and provide expertise in addressing new threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team on cybersecurity best practices and architectural design considerations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers, to ensure alignment on cybersecurity requirements and standards.
What You Need to Be Successful
  • +7 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
  • In‑depth knowledge of automotive network protocols, ECU communication, and software architectures.
  • Strong understanding of industry cybersecurity standards and frameworks, such as ISO 21434, SAE J3061, or ISO 27001.
  • Hold certification in ISO 21434 Engineering.
  • Experience in designing and implementing cybersecurity architectures for automotive systems.
  • Proficiency in threat modeling, risk assessment methodologies, and vulnerability analysis.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
Bonus Points if You Have
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in automotive cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and standards in C and C++ for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive‑specific frameworks and standards, such as AUTOSAR.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies in the automotive industry, such as autonomous vehicles and connected car platforms.
