Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Credit Risk Data Engineer in Warsaw, Poland to join the Data Strategy team.

The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, migrating legacy SAS/SQL processes to modern cloud-based solutions, and delivering governed, quality data for regulatory, forecasting, and reporting needs. You will partner with Technology, data teams, and stakeholders to implement data products, onboard sources, and automate processes while ensuring data quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6+ years in data engineering, data science, or analytics roles.
• Strong hands-on SQL and Python with large-scale data experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data solutions using SQL, Python, and modern platforms.
• Onboard source-system data, document requirements, and support future data architectures.
• Develop data transformation, validation, and automation to improve quality and efficiency.
• Migrate legacy SAS/SQL solutions to Python, SQL, and cloud-based tools.
• Collaborate across teams to govern data, ensure lineage, and support regulatory reporting.
