Job summary

Kraken is seeking a dedicated community trader to lead engagement across Discord, Telegram, X and other channels. You will be in the trenches, posting with speed and accuracy, and shaping an ambassador and power-user program.

You will collaborate with Product to relay feedback, write clear updates, and host AMAs, live sessions, and competitions. The role requires trading experience, strong writing, and resilience in a fast-moving crypto environment.

• 3+ years running community or social for a product with a technical, skeptical audience.
• You write fast and well.
• You have thick skin and good instincts.
• You've built something from a standing start, not just maintained an existing account.
• You operate without a brief.
• You're comfortable with the ambiguity of a company that ships constantly and reorganizes around opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Live in the trenches. Discord, Telegram, X, TradingView, Reddit, the group chats you're already in at 3am. You're not monitoring channels; you're a participant with standing.
• Be the fastest voice in the room. When a chain halts or the market goes vertical, you're posting before screenshots circulate.
• Build the inner circle. Stand up an ambassador and power-user program with market makers and high-volume traders.
• Run the room in public. AMAs, live trading sessions, feature launches, competitions, post-mortems when we get something wrong.
• Close the loop with Product. relay feedback with receipts and report back to the community.
• Write things people screenshot. Teardowns of microstructure and release notes that read clearly.
• Prove it worked. You bring the numbers to the table before anyone asks.

• Be the fastest voice in the room. When a chain halts, a listing drops, or the market goes vertical, you're posting before the screenshots start circulating. Speed with accuracy, not vibes.


• Build the inner circle. Stand up an ambassador and power-user program: the market makers, quant desks, and high-volume traders who'll tell you the truth about the product. Give them a reason to stay loud.


• Run the room in public. AMAs, live trading sessions, feature launches, competitions, post-mortems when we get something wrong. Own the format, don't just attend it.


• Close the loop with Product. You'll be the first to hear that the order entry flow is broken. Your job is to get it to the PM with receipts, then go back and tell the community what happened.


• Write things people screenshot. Threads on microstructure, teardowns of new features, release notes that don't read like release notes.


• Prove it worked. Sentiment, share of voice, community-sourced signups, retention of the accounts that matter. You bring the numbers to the table before anyone asks.

What You’ll Bring

• You trade. Actual positions, actual scars. You can hold a conversation about funding rates, maker/taker economics, slippage, and latency without reaching for a glossary.


• 3+ years running community or social for a product with a technical, skeptical audience. Crypto, fintech, gaming, or dev tools all count.


• You write fast and well. Short-form that lands, long-form that holds up under scrutiny from people smarter than the average follower.


• You have thick skin and good instincts. Crypto community management means getting yelled at with an audience watching. You de-escalate without going corporate and you know when to push back.


• You've built something from a standing start, not just maintained an existing account.


• You operate without a brief. Markets don't wait for approval chains, and neither should you… because you know where the line is and you don't need a committee to find it.


• You're comfortable with the ambiguity of a company that ships constantly and reorganizes around opportunity.
