Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking an experienced Cloud Security & AI Solutions Architect to define and implement secure cloud platforms for AI-powered products, data-driven solutions, and enterprise digital services. You will lead architectural standardization and governance while enabling innovation.

You will mentor engineering teams, drive modern CI/CD and containerization practices, and collaborate with security, data, compliance, and product groups across Azure and AWS ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT / CS / CE / cybersecurity or related field.
• At least 3 years of practical cloud experience in Azure or AWS.
• Experience designing secure infrastructure for AI applications and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design secure Cloud architectures in Azure or AWS for AI apps and analytics platforms.
• Define reference architectures and security patterns for AI solutions with data from enterprise platforms.
• Establish secure architecture for AI agents, sandboxed code execution, and runtime isolation.
• Develop standards for identity management, secrets management, encryption, zero-trust access, and secure connectivity.
• Define and maintain IaC standards using Terraform, Bicep or ARM.
• Lead migration initiatives to Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.
• Establish modern CI/CD practices including governance, PR workflows, automated testing, and deployment controls.
• Create standards for secure software delivery, release traceability, and audit readiness.

Cloud Security & AI Solutions Architect

Location: Katowice - 2 days office / 3 days remote

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security & AI Solutions Architect to help define and implement next generation of secure Cloud platforms for AI-powered products, data-driven solutions, and enterprise digital services.

This role combines expertise in Cloud architecture, Cloud security and AI infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, security, data, compliance, and product teams to establish secure architectural standards, reusable Cloud and AI patterns, as well as modern software delivery practices that enable innovation while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

As a technical leader, you will define reference architectures, mentor engineering teams, and drive modernization initiatives across Cloud infrastructure, AI workloads, and software delivery platforms.

Your key responsibilities

• Design secure Cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS for AI applications, analytics platforms, and enterprise digital products.
• Define reference architectures and security patterns for AI solutions consuming data from Databricks and other enterprise data platforms.
• Establish secure architecture for AI agents, sandboxed code execution, runtime isolation, network segmentation, and controlled access to enterprise services and data.
• Develop standards for identity management, secrets management, encryption, zero-trust access, secure connectivity, logging, monitoring, and auditing.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, Bicep or ARM.
• Lead and support migration initiatives to Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.
• Establish modern CI/CD practices, including repository governance, branching strategies, pull request workflows, automated testing, release controls, and deployment approvals.
• Create standards for secure software delivery, release traceability, compliance evidence, and audit readiness.
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver reusable templates, secure pipelines, and reference Cloud architecture.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews, identifying risks and recommending secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with Cloud, security, AI, data, quality engineering, compliance, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the adoption of engineering best practices across cloud, security, DevOps, and AI infrastructure domains.

Skills and attributes for success

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Cybersecurity / Information Systems or relevant discipline
• At least 3 years of practical experience and design of solutions in Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS Cloud
• At least 1 year of experience in building or securing AI solutions
• Strong Cloud security expertise, including identity, networking, encryption, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and secure access patterns.
• Experience designing secure infrastructure for AI applications, AI agents, APIs, data-consuming applications, or internal developer platforms.
• Strong knowledge of network segregation, private endpoints, firewalls, virtual networks, controlled egress, and runtime isolation.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM or Bicep for infrastructure provisioning and Cloud architecture enablement.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, repository governance, branch protection, pull requests, and secure CI/CD patterns.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, ideally including migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub.
• Understanding of secure software delivery, release controls, traceability, and audit-ready engineering practices.
• Ability to work hands-on with engineers while also setting architecture direction and technical standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, agent frameworks, or secure GenAI application patterns.
• Experience with Databricks as a data source for downstream applications.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, or similar runtime platforms.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Advanced Security, code scanning, secret scanning, dependency scanning, or policy-as-code.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with sandboxed code execution, Python runtime environments, containerized workloads, or isolated compute patterns.
• Experience in Entra ID, managed identities, service principals, RBAC
• Experience in Snowflake

Relevant certifications such as:
