The Cloud Platforms Engineer is responsible for administering and configuration of cloud-based core infrastructure and services. This role will also work closely with leadership to understand business requirements, identify priorities and develop roadmap and implementation plans for cloud-based infrastructure solutions.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • Analyze and translate our business requirements into technical requirements
  • Research and present new cloud technologies and recommendations which best fit the business and IT objectives while aligning with the overall organization’s strategy
  • Working with leadership to establish cloud technology roadmaps and clear release strategies
  • Working with leadership to establish business and user awareness campaigns
  • Prepare and present technical design documentation and task‑level project plans to the business, leadership, and technical team members
  • Help identify and communicate risks (business, application, technical) associated with our cloud platforms and solutions
  • Support Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google and third‑party cloud application integrations
  • Support Software/Platform as a Service, compute virtualization, and software defined storage networking
  • Support cloud identity solutions to ensure proper and secure authentication for on‑premise and cloud solutions
  • Provide highest‑level technical support to help resolve complex customer problems from on‑premise to cloud solutions
  • Ensure that technical documentation (not included in the product documentation) that is needed by customers to effectively troubleshoot the product/solution is created and available for use.
  • Identify and work with BG to enhance tools, script automation, or other activities that will enable the team to work more efficiently and speed to accelerate issue identification and resolution.
  • Maintain a deep technical knowledge of datacenter technologies including: Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Virtualization, Storage, and Network frameworks
  • Provide recommendations with respect to cloud migrations and prepare technical implementation roadmaps for cloud adoption
  • Mentor and engage others while helping guide the organization’s strategies working directly with management
  • Collaborate with other project teams on technical solutions and help improve Amcor service.
  • Perform Break/fix activities, engineering, complex implementations
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (Cloud Engineer, Automation engineer, Azure Specialist, AWS Engineer, Google Cloud Engineer)
  • Collaborate with other project teams on technical solutions and help improve Amcor service.
  • Ability to learn and work with new and emerging technologies
  • Experience in automation technologies such as Terraform, Puppet, Azure DSC, Jenkins, JSON etc.
  • Significant understanding of DevOps, Agile and CI/CD Pipeline principles and methodologies
  • Understanding of ITIL practices, change control etc.
  • Excellent Verbal, presentation and written communications skills
  • Demonstrate analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, and Perform Break/fix activities, engineering, complex implementations
  • Must establish, document, and help the organization follow standards, procedures, and processes
  • Experience in coordination and escalation to Microsoft support and ability to coordinate with first- and third‑party software vendors as needed for resolution of business‑impacting problems
  • Experience working with Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, Role Based Access, ADFS, and Multi‑factor Authentication works
  • Understanding of Role based access controls
  • Understanding of best security practices such as data encryption, least privileged access, Privileged Identity management, auditing and logging etc.
  • Configuration and deployment expertise with 3rd party enterprise application integrations into Azure Services such as SAP, Docusign, Concur, Workday, etc.
  • Understanding around cloud billing, FinOps, tracking, reporting, monitoring etc.
  • Configuration and deployment expertise with appropriate data technologies such as Azure Kubernetes, Docker, Logic Apps, Event Hubs, Storage accounts, Azure file Share, Data Lakes, Data Bricks, SQL Databases, Data Factory, etc.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis such as tools like Power BI to produce automated dashboard
  • Configuration and deployment expertise with Internet of Things (IoT) applications such as IoT hub, IoT Central, Digital twins
  • Configuration and deployment expertise with Azure IaaS Technologies such as VMs, Virtual networks, Express Routes, VPN Gateways, Azure WAN, Azure firewall, Network virtual appliances
  • Configuration and deployment expertise with cloud backup and recovery solutions
  • Provide recommendations with respect to cloud migrations and prepare technical implementation roadmaps for cloud adoption
